Absolute masterclass of backpack engineering. This backpack is comfortable, stylish, very pocket heavy, and extremely durable. Could be passed off as a $150 backpack with how exceptionally crafted it is. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent backpack for its price point. It's comfortable and has plenty of space for all of my tech gear and books without looking too bulky. I highly recommend it for those who commute on a daily basis, but want a professional-looking bag that's just as versatile as it is affordable.

Very well laid out. Worked well as an under-the seat bag. Just make sure you do not stuff it. You need some cram room JIC.

Steam deck, battery (anker 99.9 KWH), Surface/KB, Samsung 15" tab, toiletry kit and an electronic pack (cables, etc) all fit with room for more.

Now I am wondering if I use this for commute or if it would just make it harder to swap for travel....

The impressionable shopaholic in me is always being tempted by all the sponsored ads and algorithms trying to make me want to buy new bags from Bellroy, Alpaka, Timbuk2, Aer, etc... For whatever reason, I can't justify myself in buying a new bag when this tomtoc bag does the trick. It has so many useful pockets and can tuck away to be real slim and sleek. At the same time, it can take a stretching and hold a lot of stuff too. Final thing is price. This back is dollar for dollar, gram for gram, outperforming all those other brands out there charging almost $300 for a bag. I'm from the $20 Jansport two pocket backpack days. This will be my version of a splurge, on a bag that's made with a lot of intentional design.

The Perfect backpack. I spent months researching and comparing bags like Timbuk2, Nomatic, Solgaard, Peak Design and settled on this backpack and could not be happier, after almost a year of weekly use I love it more. The organization is perfect, the size is perfect. It can take a beating. It's quality material. I can carry two computers/ipad, cords case, two phones, wallet keys, book, light pullover. The water bottle pocket is a little small, but it fits the tall 32oz Smart Water perfect. It also fits a Lars Nysom Steel 32oz bottle perfect too, which I bought just for this bag. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I argued over this bag, but it’s been the best addition to our travel set. It’s sleek enough for work but flexible and versatile to hold plenty while traveling

This is a good backpack for business needs. Modern, comfortable, high-quality material of the product. Inside there is a special pocket made of soft material for a laptop.
It fits well on the back, looks good on a 180 cm guy.
The rating is slightly reduced for the price. In my opinion, the backpack could cost a little less. But this is a subjective point, and I am satisfied with the purchase completely.

This has a lot of compartments that allow organization without adding a deep mound of a hump. I hope to see more color options become available!

Wanted a EDC bag to for work and other items.
I carry up to two 15 in laptops, chargers, a change of clothes, a toiletry bag, a e-reader, a pouch with cables, wallet, bento lunchbox (sideways), other small things and still has empty pockets of space. The water bottle sleeve fits my 32 oz Nalgene too!

Surprisingly huge for less than 30 L. Has really nice padded back and nice straps. I haven't felt huge back pain, so I assume it spreads the weight evenly.

And it's not as expensive as others, iI have a timbuk2 and it's just as good, if not better. Highly recommend.

Greate backpack for college students has a spot for a laptop and ipad if you carry both and lots of room in the middle pocket for textbooks or folders or whatever else you want to carry. The zippers are great and smooth. The black color hides the the dirt that can build up on a back if you but it on the ground a lot. It is light weight if you only carry the essintail things. It also has lots of small pockets on the inside if you want to carry cables keys or anything else.

The one thing that i dont like is the its not very water resistant so make sure you dont get caught in heavy rain.

Well built, zippers are pretty smooth. There are plenty of pockets for office. Good laptop protection protection. Material has some water-repellent quality.

Excellent backpack. I use it as my everyday backpack. Great features and lightweight. The design evenly balances the weight when fully loaded. I would definitely buy again.

Love it so far. Perfect portion of compartments. Very roomy and I’m able to fit many things. Sits well on my shoulders and back. Perfect for traveling and as a work bag. Quality looks and feels like I will have this for years to come.

This backpack is on the smaller side. Good for a weekend getaway, or a light packer. Construction quality appears to be good, but straps could use better padding.

I have been searching for a "nicer" backpack for work - one that looks good enough for meetings but holds enough stuff for my day. I work on a college campus and have to do a lot of walking in all weather conditions, so materials matter. I have to carry my laptop everywhere, so tech protection also matters.

Pros:
Lots of pockets! I carry a nametag, business cards, ID card, keys, pens, folders, earbuds, and some personal items (hand sanitizer, hand lotion, etc). I also carry my laptop and sometimes a tablet. Other commuter/work backpacks I looked at didn't have enough organization to keep all that neat and I don't want to buy a separate pouch. This pack has a place for everything. The tech compartment is well padded and suspended, so my gear doesn't sit on the ground.

It looks nice enough for meetings. The side carry handle gives it a briefcase look, which is great for more professional settings. And, you can semi-hide the backpack straps. When you carry it like a backpack, the strap loops keep the backpack adjustment straps from flopping around. This is amazing for a shorter person like me. You can also carry it by the grab-handles on the top.

Cons
One top handle would look better in backpack mode. There is no way to hide the top grab handles, and they stick up. The material (though very nice) seems to attract dog hair. It comes off easily, but I have a white dog. This could be a consideration if you have pets.

The top zip pocket could be more of a clamshell opening. It's a little hard to get your stuff and I have small hands. The bottom pocket seems bigger and this is less of an issue, but still could benefit from the clamshell approach.

There is only one external bottle pocket. I really like having two. The issue is with the side handle. Putting a pocket there would mean the handle wouldn't be usable, but that could be a choice for the consumer instead of going without the pocket.

I would love a middle-sized option. I got 18L. I wish it was bigger, but not 30L. I think the updated version with x-pac material might be 20L and that little bit extra would help for holding a rain jacket or sweater/sweatshirt. It would really help for travel purposes. I'm not a one-bag traveler, so I don't need 30L. But, I do like to carry a sweatshirt and some extras if I travel. It would be hard to fit much more than light sweatshirt in the main compartment, I think.

Overall--I got this at a great price during a sale week, and I will likely keep it. It's great for work and that is mainly why I bought it.

I absolutely love this laptop backpack! It’s spacious enough to handle all my daily essentials, with plenty of layers and pockets that make organizing everything a breeze. The cushioned back provides excellent protection for my laptop while also acting as a soft buffer for my back—super comfortable to wear for extended periods.

One of my favorite features is the genius design for storing the straps. I was skeptical at first, but after using it, I found it incredibly practical and helpful. The material is both durable and water-repellent, making it suitable for various weather conditions.

The only downside is the single side pocket, which means I have to choose between carrying my water bottle or umbrella. That small inconvenience aside, this backpack is truly wonderful and highly recommended for anyone looking for a functional, well-designed, and weather-resistant backpack!

The back pack is good.....it has good protection for my laptop and is comfortable to use but I took a star off due to the high price.

The price is a little bit high but the product is really good, it has a nice presentation and looks very professional

Hoy cumplo un 1 año que compré esta mochila y ha sido mi acompañante a todas mis aventuras. Los zipper son de buena calidad, tiene bastante espacio para organizar tus articulos. En mi país hay temporadas de lluvias y cuando la he usado en esas temporadas el compartimento de la laptop ha quedado intacto. El único que se moja es el primer bolso, pero es por la tela que tiene que es diferente al que esta hecho la mochila completa.

I hate bulky/ oversized back packs but I also like to have ample storage capacity. This back pack has more than enough space for my macbook pro 16, ipad air, charging accessories, and my EDC items. And it looks slim and minimalist unlike other “tech” back packs. Provides a great value opposed to other more expensive back packs. I like the two hand straps for carrying it by hand but it can get in the way of zipping and unzipping the back pack.

First of, I am a huge Tomtoc fan. Their products are top notch and very durable and high quality. I bought the 30L bag and it is absolutely great. Has a ton of room and individual pockets for all the little things. I often travel and work from different locations so I have to travel with two laptops (a 15.6" and a 14" Lenovo) I also carry all the necessary connectors and plugs. They all fit in Tomtoc 17.3" bag quite comfortably. It has enough space to also fit in any additional items that you wish to carry on the plane, whether it's an extra set of clothes or miscellaneous travel items. The back padding makes it extremely comfortable to carry and the shoulder straps are also very well padded and comfortable. The attached lanyard for keys or anything else you don't want to lose is a great touch. Overall, would highly recommend this bag. I did have an issue w/ my 18L bag and Tomtoc replaced it right away. SUPERB customer service makes this a great investment.

Great simple style, good amount of pockets I love how the laptop sleeve has a shielded bumper and is lined in a soft microfiber like material to protect the laptop (this is very important to me and the main reason I choose this backpack) I have an expensive 16 inch laptop and I trust this backpack to protect it, the star of the show it the large main compartment, honestly this backpack can carry so much for such a compact size, it can carry more than large backpacks I have owned, I really like the shape and depth of the back pack, it's honestly such a great backpack. 10/10

I love everything about this bag, it's very comfortable to wear and it's very comfortable to use. The size is perfect and it has a lot of handy pockets. I use it all the time and I had it for 3 months already and it looks just as new. Highly recommend it!
