Ultimate 18" Black Laptop Backpack for Men & Women | Travel Daypack with Gear Attachments & Padded Straps

I needed a new laptop backpack to replace my previous backpack that was wearing out, which was also a SwissGear.

I am an IT professional who needs a backpack that looks professional, and is able to carry the necessities, my laptop, laptop charger, various adapter cables, an iPad, a tablet, and a few odds and ends. This backpack checked all those boxes for me. It is the perfect size for everyday carry, without being large enough that I end up adding extraneous items that I don't need, which ends up making the backpack heavy and awkward.

I find the size and layout of the backpack and it's pockets to be perfect for my needs. It holds my 15" laptop securely, and the pockets in the other compartments hold my iPad and tablet, pen, etc. The side pocket holds a Nalgene water bottle securely. I really like how it stretches, holding the water bottle tightly. I don't know if that elastic will wear out and the pocket will stretch out over time.

The straps are nicely padded, distributing the weight nicely. They feel a little too short, keeping the backpack higher on my back that my previous model.

After having the backpack for only a few days, the one zipper pull broke on the main compartment. I will replace it with paracord.

It looks nice, but instead of black - colour is more greyish vs dark black, as displayed on the site.

Very good quality but bigger than I expected. It can fit a lot.

This replaces a 15-year-old High Sierra backpack, which wore like iron despite regular beating-ups. I use it as an airline personal item 3-4 times a year and as my mobile office probably 20 times a year, for 3 to 10 days at a time. The only reason I chose this over the High Sierra is the logo style--the HIgh Sierra's logo is huge and not very professional looking, and I use the bag for work events, where it needs to look grown-up.

This pack is lighter than the High Sierra, with more comfortable straps. The laptop compartment easily fits my MacBook Pro and I love the Velcro strap that holds it secure. Lots of room for stuff inside, with several pockets for organizing. I could easily fit 2-3 days of clothes in here, plus a laptop, tablet, wallet, etc. It doesn't feel as sturdy overall as my old High Sierra and the zippers definitely feel less quality, so we'll see how it wears over time. So far, it's done several outings as my mobile office and has performed well with laptop, tablet, phone, Airpods, several books and notebooks, pens/pencils, and a load of chargers.

I wish the very outside (smallest) pocket had a closure of some kind--a zip or snap or Velcro or something. It's open and makes me nervous so I don't use it. Otherwise, this is very well designed and easy to organize. Here's hoping it lasts a long time.

im a long time brand customer. ive used the same swissgear backpack for 10-15 years now. this one is the replacement, and i hope the quality is the same long lasting. it came yesterday. the only thing i have is that when i took it out of the vacuum sealing, it was kinda dirty/messy. theres some shavings probably from manufacturing, the smell of manufacturing is a bit too strong, so i wiped it down a bit since idk if you should put it in the washing machine and it definitnely could have been cleaned a bit better before being sent. just some feedback for the general process. as far as i can tell no one else has had this or cares. i understand its going to get dirty and it will be taken on trips and hikes and etc, but its just odd it came already like this.

I loved this backpack so much I bought a second. It is great quality and durable. Its padding in the pocket holds my gaming laptop securely and allows for a lot of extra gear to fit inside. It also works great just for notebooks, files, etc. The design is sleek and the color is a nice matte black with the logo subdued so it doesn't stick out. It travels very well. Great value.

This bag projects the laptop fairly well. The zippers are well designed that they zip up and down very smoothly. Material is sturdy enough to prevent rips.

Material is pretty durable for just normal travelling. I didn't worry about it getting dirty or tearing. All the zippers and pockets feel well-made and it didn't offgas much, which is good for a product I'm carrying around. My one complaint is that the shoulder straps were a little too close together, and it pressed on the sides of my neck. I could fix it by loosening the straps, but then the back hangs further down your back which is less comfortable/ergonomic, as well as being less-ideal for movement through an airport. I also found the stiffness of the top part of the straps contrasted with a looser bottom strap (the part your tighten), meaning they constantly flipped over trying to get your arms through to put the bag on/off. Not terrible, just annoying.

I like this bag overall. It’s sturdy and has plenty of compartments, which makes it easy to organize things. The storage capacity is good and it works well for travel. The color looks a little different from the pictures, but it’s still nice. The material feels decent—not too thin and not too thick.

A little smaller for a 16 inch Laptop, otherwise it's fine

Great bag for computer and work as well as a great carry on for light travel.

Nice sturdy bag...holding up for a 12 yo!

The fabric is not as high quality as I would expect for a $70 backpack. There are some sewing details that look really ugly jajaja Do I love it? Not really. But it does the job.

Great backpack; I've been using it for the last year and a half or so and can say I'm relatively satisfied. Looks sleek and minimalist, though the fit does seem kind of odd, hence the four stars.
