I had to air it out for like a week before I was confident that it was safe to use.Scrub it afterwards and wipe the bag down.I like that it comes with silverware and fruit picks. There’s a spoon,fork, and knife(plastic) They all attach to the plastic container (that goes inside the lunch box) & it also comes with I’m guessing it’s for soups or hot foods to keep them warm along with another spoon.
