I ordered the 14-inch size, which should be perfect for him (he’s a preschooler). It’s bright and colorful and the style is very appealing. The backpack is very well-made and appears quite durable. The straps are padded to ensure comfort. It has just the right storage capacity for a boy his age. The zipper quality was excellent; it glides easily and has large decorative zipper pulls to help little hands be able to open and close the backpack on their own. I’m really pleased with the overall quality of the backpack and found it to be a good value for the money.
