17-Inch Executive Rolling Laptop Briefcase with Wheels & Combination Locks

Second Review (Updated 7/14/26): The latch no longer works; The mechanism becomes stuck and won't slide properly. Video attached. I don't put my water or laptop inside anymore because I'm worried that the weight of them will cause the other latch to break completely. For what I paid for this item, it being delivered with corrosion on the dials, and then the latch uncooperating a month later, I do not recommend this product.First Review: I purchased this briefcase so I didn't have to carry my laptop, research notebook, and other work items on my back as these items made my backpack much too heavy to carry around. I have a 17 inch (screen) laptop that fits into the inside sleeves while the remaining storage fits my chargers, container of writing utensils, a box of whiteboard markers, and more. The telescopic handle is an adequate height for me, but I'm only 5’6“. Despite all the items I placed inside, when I carry the bag upstairs, the leather handle seems to support the weight very well; I had some previous fears of it ripping off. The only complaint I have is that the metal dials were corroded. Otherwise, the presentation of the bag would've been phenomenal. I received many compliments bout this item. I do wish extra legs (on the front side) were provided, as I can see them wearing down quickly from rolling the bag then stopping to do something.

Bought it in March 2023 and the handle broke in April 2026. I loved the bag but wish it would have lasted longer.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the Alpine Swiss bag I purchased in July 2025. Despite the brand's reputation and the $100+ price point, the bag has failed to meet basic durability expectations after only seven months of light use.My daily use is minimal, consisting of a short commute and carrying the bag up one flight of stairs. However, the top flap recently cracked, requiring duct tape to keep it secure. That I might have been able to accept (given the force of gravity on the bag during the stair flight), but then this morning, the entire side of the bag began to detach, forcing me to reglue it so I can continue using it until I find a replacement. It is definetly not sewn together. (And for those that are curious, there are tampons and a pen case in that side pocket; nothing heavy and I made sure not to overextend past the hook and loop tab capability.)I initially suspected this might be a counterfeit product due to the poor quality, but according to is a legitimate Alpine Swiss item. I expected this bag to last much longer than seven months and wanted to share this feedback regarding the product's longevity.

Purchased the end of February 2025.Pros:Good size, easily fits large laptop.Compartments inside also well sized and easy to stay organized.Cons:One lock does not clasp well. Area where lock is pushed into w/defect and thus affecting locks ability to stay closed.Bottom stopper has already fallen off, causing the briefcase to be unsteady when set upright.For the price I would have expected more durability especially with the daily function aspects of the briefcase.

I have been a fan of Alpine Swiss bags for decades. During that time I have had two Alpine Swiss laptop bags the last of which has been handed down to my teenage son just this fall. Great quality and loved the durability. Straight up awesome productsContrast 2022:This purchase was my one ask for a Christmas present and a definite let down. Looks sharp enough in the product images but I but when I pulled it from the box I became skeptical about how it would hold up. After opening the lid a couple of times, the "hinge" area on the telescoping handle side of the bag was found to be pretty inflexible and began to show wear after just a few open/closes.This tote was meant to house my work files and devices and was used no more than 10 days from purchase--that is generous. The poor quality construction of this tote is really astounding to me. I expected the same positive experience I have previously had with Alpine Swiss products but, alas, like so many manufacturers it seems that Alpine Swiss product quality has devolved over the decades.I won't belabor the point further. The pictures show what just 10 days of use will do. On the upside, the locks are not only functional, they are really pretty! I guess that is where all the quality was focused... I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN and doubt I will be brave enough to make another Alpine Swiss purchase. Oh, so disappointed.

It looks great and makes a killer first impression but I can tell that it’s not going to hold up for long. It is not very well made and I wouldn’t put anything super heavy in it like too many heavy books in it.

I ordered this about a month ago and so far, so good. One thing I had the most trouble with was opening the front pocket. All you have to do is push the "circle" button, straight down and it will pop open. The keys are of no use whatsoever, but for what I use it for, it doesn't need to lock, anyway. That is the worst issue. They need to either do away with the keys, or make absolute sure they work, before sending them out to people.I can fit TWO 17 inch laptops (and their cords), a 3 ring binder, a 2 inch day planner, tons of pens, business cards and even a few blouses and some socks in this case. I love it!

I purchased briefcase after reading the reviews. I took a chance, and was disappointed. I received the case today and did a full inspection. There is a crack along the back of the case, near handle. The handle is VERY wobbly when expanded. It's obvious the case will crumble when fully loaded. I don't see how the handle would last a year. I have already scheduled a return. I am willing to give this another try. I may order another, with the hopes of getting one with a stable handle and no cracks in the structure of the case. I REALLY LIKE IT. UGH!! I like the combination locking feature. I am rating a two because the locks did work, but I had to reset them back to zero.

Good price for the product. Use it to hole video equipment and accessories, works very well but be aware. Keep it light. I was about 20 lbs of stuff in it and the top ripped off. Purchase a better quality

The side pockets are glued and they became unglued and they flap around.The seams start to unravel. The lock fell off.The wheels are too low and close to the ground. Since it is low the bottom on the bag rubs on the street. This is our second bag.I don't even think it lasted a year before it started to unravel.It's such a nice big bag but it is poorly made. I purchased it because of it's size and depth.I have enclosed the pictures of the first bag.

I am very impressed with this product I just purchased it. I'll give it five stars after I tested it.•It is very stylish black leather look.•Very professional look as well.•Very spacious, it has a large padded compartment perfect for my 17.3 inch laptop, a pocket on the opposite wall for books or folders, and the middle section being the largest. (I would only like another divider for the middle part that you could move around.)-It has two small pockets on the side not much space maybe a calculator, an external battery or office supplies could fit there.-it also has a larger front pocket maybe to put some folders or documents.-It looks very sturdy and well made.I love it because I can fit most of my college books, laptop, accessories, external battery, office supplies and I can just roll it and not have to carry it all the time. It's a great purchase. I'll update after testing it.I put that cardboard piece there to put my laptops accessories in there. They should include that.

I have stuffed it full of promotional materials and taken it on the road many places. I can even put my laptop and a projector in it. Other exhibitors who see it comment and ask where I got it. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for such a product. The pictures with my comment were taken recently - after all the use I write of. As you can see it has held up very nicely.

🎉EXCELLENT QUALITY! 🎉 I purchase a new Alpine Swiss barrister's case every two years or so. From the onset, quality was Great! Well, until a few years ago - construction was lesser quality. Took a chance maybe things improved *due to customer suggestions" GLAD I did! Alpine Swiss has TRULY improved the QUALITY back to the previous standard (or better)! Storage capacity is AWESOME! Nice bag, spacious and well organized. Wheels give out after 1.5 to 2 years without fail. I've had at least 3 of these bags and the wheels always dies and the bag becomes unrollable. It doesn't seem to be replaceable either.
